As part of my first year engineering course, myself and 4 others constructed an obstacle-avoiding, light-seeking robot that could successfully navigiate a maze and stop upon finding a light source in a dark room. This was accomplished using 3 ultrasonic sensors and 3 light sensors positioned at different angles towards the front of the robot. Using a self-developed algorithm, our robot would be able to take the input from these three sensors and successfully navigate through a set of obstacles to find a source of light.
